A comprehensive program designed to enhance the performance of your most valuable asset - your employee - through lifestyle assessment and modification!

Why C-PEP?

Most businesses offer some form of health insurance for their employees. The cost of that insurance is usually affected by the amount of claims. Now you can reduce that cost by providing your employees with CPEP - Corporate Performance Enhancement Program. Statistics show that worksite wellness is healthcare reform that works. It is the only long-term answer for keeping employees well, productive, and continually on the job. When employees are healthier, the company benefits in many ways:

  • lower health care costs;
  • reduced lost time due to illness;
  • increased productivity;
  • increased self-esteem.

Every dollar invested in worksite wellness is returned to the corporation through less absenteeism; improved health habits and morale; lower medical costs and increased output from healthier employees. Remember, regular prescriptive exercise can reduce the risk of heart disease, lower elevated blood pressure, reduce blood cholesterol, increase circulation and improve performance of the heart and lungs. A PEP program can help increase your profits - and that's reason enough to think about investing in your most important asset - your employees' performance.

Comprehensive Fitness Evaluations

Our comprehensive fitness evaluations include:

Cardiovascular Fitness: Cardiovascular fitness is the ability of the heart, lungs, and circulatory system to supply oxygen and nutrients to working muscles efficiently and allows activities involving large muscle groups to be performed over long periods of time. It is generally considered to be the most important fitness components.

Body Composition: Body composition refers to the relative proportions of body weight in terms of lean body mass and body fat. Lean body mass represents the weight of muscle, bone, internal organs and connective tissue. Body fat presents the remaining fat tissue.

Strength: Muscular strength is very important to your overall health and fitness. Adequate levels of strength are necessary to perform daily routines without excessive fatigue or stress. Strong muscles reduce the incidence of low back pain or injury and assist your cardiovascular system in sustaining physical activity.

Flexibility: The ability to move a joint fluidly through its complete range of motion is important to general health and physical fitness. Flexibility is reduced when muscles become short and tightened with disuse causing an increase in injury and strains.

Health Risk Assessments

We can assess your employees' potential for certain preventable or treatable diseases:

Heart Disease: Coronary heart disease is the most common form of heart disease and the leading cause of death in the United States, It is estimated that 550, 000 Americans die each year and that one in four currently suffers from some type of heart or blood vessel disease. Many of these deaths could be avoided by understanding the risk factors and what steps you can take to reduce that risk.

Cancer: Cancer is the uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. If the cancer is not controlled, it results in death. However, many cancers are curable if detected and treated promptly and many others are preventable by lifestyle changes.

Diabetes: Diabetes can be defined as an insulin deficiency that interferes with your body's metabolism. The uncontrolled diabetic is subject to slower healing and other diabetes related diseases such as: renal failure, blindness, etc.

Stress and Depression: Even the most psychologically stable person will have occasional periods of stress and depression. Stress and depression can negatively affect the body with devastating results.

Blood Chemistries

Total Cholesterol, HDL Cholesterol, Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio, Triglycerides, LDL Cholesterol and Glucose tests will be performed and evaluated. Excess cholesterol in the blood stream tends to build up on the walls of the arteries forming "plaque". This plaque can scar, narrow, and eventually block the arteries causing strokes and heart attacks.

Nutrition Assessments

Good nutrition is essential for maintaining health and providing the energy necessary for optimal physical and mental performance. Poor nutrition is a significant risk factor in many of the leading cause of death including coronary heart disease, cancer, stroke and diabetes.
