Congratulations TDI Team named CityBusiness Magazine Innovator of the Year honoree

Congratulations to the TDI Team for being selected as a CityBusiness Magazine Innovator of the Year honoree. According to CityBusiness, the Innovator of the Year Award recognizes 50 companies and individuals who continue to keep the New Orleans area a center for creativity. This seventh annual award, honors individuals, companies and organizations that succeed by operating in new and exciting ways or creating unique products.

The TDI Team consists of three Clinical Documentation Specialists, Royceanne Fugler, RN, Lindy Sells, RN, and Melissa Mayer, RN and is led by director Stacy Collins and supervisor Raquel Joubert. Their responsibility is to ensure that a treating physician documents all clinically significant diagnoses and procedures in the most detailed manner possible. This benefits both the hospital in the form of better reimbursement, and the patient in giving them the most accurate documentation of the care they received.

To date, the TDI Team has recouped over $1 million in revenues that otherwise would have gone undocumented.
