Best Waldorf
Salad
Ingredients
3 large Red Delicious
or Granny Smith apples
2 teaspoons lemon juice
(about half a lemon)
1 1/2 cups seedless grape
halves
1 cup finely diced celery
1/3 cup raisins
1/4 cup finely chopped
toasted walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup nonfat salad dressing
(Miracle Whip) or reduced-calorie mayonnaise
1/4 cup nonfat buttermilk
2 teaspoons sugar
1 ounce blue cheese
Directions
- Peel apples; dice.
- Toss with lemon juice in a large bowl.
- Add grapes, celery, raisins, and walnuts.
- Combine salad dressing and remaining ingredients; stir into
apple mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
