Through disease prevention and health promotion, Elder Advantage offers a variety of benefits that can add quality and years to the lives of seniors. If you're 50 or better, you need the Elder Advantage.

Elder Advantage is available to anyone age 50 and up. For a $25 application fee you become a lifetime member, and your spouse may join for only $5. Call or stop by the Elder Advantage office to pick up an application form. Return the form in person or by mail with your check payable to EJGH/Elder Advantage. To join by phone, please call (504) 454-4066. A credit card is required for payment.

Hospital Inpatient Benefits

  • Private room upgrade at no extra charge if available at time of admission (patient is responsible for covering the cost of a semi-private room)
  • Visit from an Elder Advantage representative upon request
  • Complimentary cot in a private room
  • Telephone amplifier if needed

These benefits do not apply to outpatient services, Same Day Surgery and the Diagnostic Outpatient Unit.
